We all know the Organic Posting strategy right?
That's the one where you make LOTS of posts all over social, and wait for people to come your way.
Most coaches in the space call it, "Attraction Marketing".
Well, this says it all...
Yikes, right?
After striking out there (it didn't earn us $100K, we lost money), we moved on.
Next up?
Running Challenges
Definition of a Challenge: A challenge is a sales strategy used to recruit potential clients into an exclusive setting and help them get a micro result in some area of life / business.
The goal is they get the potential clients micro-results and then they decide to invest with you and become full time clients in the process.
Great in theory, but we'd be lying to you if we told you they were easy.
Similar to Virtual Summits, they are EXTREMELY draining from an energy perspective and there are a lot of things that can go wrong.
Here's our results:
The worst part about this method for us was the idea of how cyclical they are.
If you're not running another Challenge, you're not growing your business.
Unless you're a glutton for the boom / bust cycles of business, Challenges may not serve you either!

Virtual Summits
Again, very similar to challenges, this method is a sales strategy in which you record interviews with experts in your field and sell tickets to prospects for access to the interview content.
Sometimes live, sometimes not.
Unfortunately, there's a LARGE amount of up front effort and time that it takes to do a great job with this.
And if you're running your business, managing employees, making sales, and have to run a summit on top of that...
...it's a recipe for overload and overwhelm.

While we broke even using this method, we definitely lost in the mental energy game.

Paid Advertising
As you know, this is one of the main methods that people in digital marketing deploy.
You build a piece of content (video, audio, written) and pay a social media platform money and in return they place your content in front of the people you believe to be the right targets for your business.
This one can cost a lot of money if you're not sure what you're doing, and can also reveal massive returns if you do it right.
We could write a full book on this sales strategy on it's own, but will keep it short and share the results we had:
Getting closer...
After learning the game of paid ads, we were able to create $100K in revenue.
However, we had to spend $46K to make $54K - net profit $8K.
In other words...
For every $100K spend, we netted $8K.
